TP SIP 2007 E-Journal (5/5)

Last! The last! Finally!

Daily updates can be found over at my blog.

Dear Mr. Teo,

Finally! It's the last e-journal!

Well, There doesn't seem to be anything new to write since all my tasks are quite routine already and I somehow work on auto-pilot the moment I step into the office unless someone asks me to help do something else.

I've learned how to be more independent when it comes to handling installation workers, such as answering their questions or getting information they need instead of transferring the calls to the other Operations staff. Other than it helping me get over the fear of not being competent enough to get what the installers want fast enough, it helps lessen the load on the other Operations staff.

Relations with the other staff are really good, because not only are they understanding and that they look after us rather than order us around like cheap labour, they really treat us like one of them, and are not afraid of joking around the way only close friends do. They are fun to be with, those very few times we went on company events or on our own, like last Saturday, when we went to that food fair at Expo; they look after us and include us in private outings.

I suppose it is true, what people say about relations with people one works with is a very important part of work, and that the right kind of colleagues make work less stressful and tiring. I'm sure I'll miss them when SIP is over.

Regards.
